Charter of uk.gov.local

(Not Moderated)

uk.gov.local is for the discussion of Local Government in all parts of the UK, at all levels up to but *not* including the Northern Ireland Assembly, Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Assembly (except in so far as those authorities relate to Local Authorities hierarchically below them).

Contributions are welcome from officers, elected members and members of the public, including those overseas who wish to discuss UK Local Government issues.

General rants which have no Local Government relevance, (other than perhaps an assertion that they have some vague connection to Local Government) are especially unwelcome.

Advertising is forbidden, with the following exceptions:

This may not exceed four lines and may be posted no more often than once every three months. The subject line should begin "ADVERT:", except for vacancies with Local Authorities or allied organisations, which should begin "JOB:"
Anyone posting adverts contrary to this charter may be reported to their postmaster/ ISP.

Participants in discussions may include references to their Authority or LG- related business in their .Sig
