The newsgroup is for discussion of all matters to do with youth
hostels, as they affect persons in the UK, and for discussions on
UK youth hostels as they affect anybody.
The term youth hostels here refers both to hostels run by members of
the International Youth Hostels Federation (IYHF), and to similar
establishments which are independent, or which belong to other
organisations.
Advertising
Staff of individual hostels or of hostelling organisations may post
items of information or comment, but the newsgroup is not for
advertisements by hostels, whether or not they are in the IYHF.
However it is legitimate to announce the opening of new youth hostels
or facilities.
