This newsgroup is for the discussion of all aspects of aquaria in the UK including but not limited to coldwater, tropicals, marines, plants and equipment, unless a more specific group or subgroup exists.

ADVERTISING is forbidden, with these exceptions:

Suppliers of goods and services specifically relevant to aquaria may post, not more than once every 3 months, an invitation of four lines or fewer, to visit their web site or request details. The subject line should begin "ADVERT: ".

Personal adverts relating to aquaria, such as those for the sale of equipment or aquatic plants, should be as brief as possible and posted no more often than once a week. The subject line should begin "FOR SALE: ".

Announcements from aquarist clubs and societies regarding forthcoming meetings and shows are welcome.

Encoded BINARIES (e.g. pictures, compressed files, etc.) are forbidden. Such material belongs on a web or ftp site to which a pointer may be posted. Cryptographic signatures (e.g. PGP) may be used where authentication is important and should be as short as possible.
