This unmoderated group is for the dicussion of R&B. Perhaps the definitive R and B artists are the Rolling Stones, but the newsgroup would also include bands like:

Free, The Black Crowes, Rory Gallager, Gun, Lenny Kravitz, Joe Cocker, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Cream, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and so on.

Bluesmen like B.B.King and Muddy Waters would be valid topics, so perhaps a typical article would probably involve a rock band, possibly influenced by the blues, but definitely performing with soul. This would not exclude certain new bands like Supergrass, for instance.

Valid topics do not include rap, punk, country + western and although some hard rock would qualify, definitely not heavy metal, because its a different brand of music, and its already very well represented on Usenet.

Binaries

Binaries of any length are not allowed.

Advertising

Finally advertising will not be allowed, however if an individual wishes to trade an item of interest to the group, they can post to this effect.
