This group is for the discussion of "indie" (a type of music,
rather than an indicator of affinity to an independent record
label) and "alternative" music in the UK. The group is not
intended to duplicate or remove discussion from established
groups such as alt.music.alternative.* but is intended to
concentrate on issues of special relevance to the UK.
The term "alternative" has been left intentionally vague. It is
a broad church.
Advertising
Announcements (about such things as record/CD releases,
concerts, etc. NOT from retailers) are allowed. Other
advertisements are not.
