Charter of uk.media.radio.bbc-r3

(Not Moderated)

uk.media.radio.bbc-r3 is for discussion about the output of the British Broadcasting Corporation's Radio 3 and matters that may arise therefrom.

Initial posts not related to BBC Radio 3 are 'off topic'; however, discussions that range more widely are not discouraged.

Commercial and personal advertising is forbidden. However commercial statements in .sig files 4 lines or fewer in length are acceptable provided the post is appropriate to the group.

Announcements, not exceeding 15 lines in length, of relevant events are allowed. Longer announcements belong in uk.announce.events.

Announcements of forthcoming programs are allowed but must not infringe the copyright(s) of schedule publishers; e.g., notification of a single program would be acceptable: listings of several programs would not.

Encoded binaries (e.g. pictures, compressed files, etc.), are *forbidden*, except for cryptographic signatures (e.g. PGP). Binaries belong on a web or ftp site, whose URL may be posted.

Posts must be in plain text. To see how to make your newsreader comply with this, read <http://www.usenet.org.uk/ukpost.html>.

Excessive cross-posting is inappropriate. Posters are requested to restrict their cross-posting to no more than two other news groups. Cross posting to other uk.media.radio.bbc-r* groups should be avoided unless there is clear relevance to the networks concerned.

Test posts are not permitted. The groups uk.test, misc.test, etc. should be used for the purpose.

The group is not moderated; however, articles that do not fall within the terms of this charter may be referred to the poster's ISP.
