uk.local.geordie is a forum for discussion and debate of everything pertaining to the Geordie way of life.

This newsgroup will welcome discussion, debate and argument concerning Geordie identity, history, folkways, music, humour, attitudes, beyor, language, and related items that go to make up the Geordie culture. Items submitted by Geordie exiles as far away as Berwick, Stockton, Guisborough and Argentina will be particularly welcome, as will debates on Geordie identity (thus, for example, is a Makem an honorary Geordie, or an entirely different species of person?)

Contributions written in Geordie will be greatly appreciated, particularly jokes and monologues in that fair tongue.

No binaries. Repeated pictures of the Tyne Bridge could, conceivably, pall; even the highest-resolution JPGs of the Lambton Worm are almost certainly forgeries; and so, binaries of any kind are definitely excluded. (Whey, divven't yee mind, Pet: if ye'v a snappy foetoe ye want us tiv see, just send in a pointa tee a binary newsgroup, like.)
